Both the surfing and state-of-mind puns the title of this movie suggests apply. Prop comedian Carrot Top plays a slacker inventor who inherits a corporation after befriending its geriatric president (Jack Warden), a fellow wave rider, in a formula comedy that includes nearly as much adolescent sexual humor as childish slapstick—pouring on the fart gags in case all else fails. I found myself sympathizing with Courtney Thorne-Smith, the love interest, who appears incapable of even pretending to fall for Carrot Top's character. The lead's signature shock of hair and the movie's other flashy, pathetic gimmicks reminded me of those purple-and-blue-frosted Pop-Tarts introduced in the 90s; this kind of desperate attention grabbing should be a warning.
