Chicago born singer, cabaret performer, writer, lyricist and actress, Charlene Brooks returns to the Skokie Theatre after two sold out performances in an all-new production, Big Band Meets Broadway. Debuting at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie, Sunday, March 14 at 2 P.M. with an encore performance Saturday, April 17 at 8 P.M. Brooks lends her signature mix of voice, musical interpretation and wit to the Big Band sound found on Broadway, both classic hits and some modern incarnations, resulting in an unforgettable experience for the audience. Also, for the first time on the Skokie Theatre stage, a horn section recreating the big brass sound will join Brooks’ back up band. Big Band Meets Broadway at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 N.
