This charming three-flat offers multiple levels of dining in a bustling section of River North. Nostalgic framed prints line the walls of the stairway leading to the upper floors. The main floor features live piano jazz and houses the bar and waiting area, which get quite packed at night. Starters include freshly shucked bluepoint oysters and cherrystone clams, jumbo shrimp de jonghe, and oysters Rockefeller. Theres a 64-ounce porterhouse (plus prime rib, a T-bone, and a signature New York strip in 16 or 24 ounces. Several seafood selections, like catfish almondine, swordfish with a sherry butter, and broiled lobster tail, round off the menu. All entrees include a house salad and potato—an unusual perk in this mostly a la carte steak-house town.
