Chicago Dyke March Free All Ages

When: Sat., June 26, 3 p.m. 2010

After leaving its longtime Andersonville digs in 2008, CDM organizers decided to bring the march to communities throughout the city. It's been in Pilsen for the last two years, and this year comes to South Shore. Compared to its more corporate cousin, Dyke March is smaller and way more political: its mission statement describes it as a "celebration of Dyke, Queer, and Transgender resilience." Starting point is 7054 S. Jeffery, with a rally and party afterward in Jackson Park (63rd and Hayes).
