Join the critically acclaimed Chicago Philharmonic for an evening of some of the most exquisite compositions ever written for instrumental soloists. This concert will begin with Mozart’s Quartet in D for Flute, Violin, Viola and Cello, with Flute soloist, Jean Berkenstock. Berkenstock is Principal Flute with both the Chicago Philharmonic and the Lyric Opera. Mozart’s Quintet in E-Flat for Horn, Violin, two Violas and Cello will follow, with soloist Jonathan Boen, French Horn. Boen is Principal Horn with the Chicago Philharmonic and the Lyric Opera. Concerto for Violin, Piano and String Quartet, an intensely passionate piece by French romantic composer Ernest Chausson (1855-1889), will conclude the program. Featured soloists are violinist David Perry, Concertmaster for the Chicago Philharmonic, and pianist William Koehler. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking garage. Tickets $10-$70.
