Chicagoland Whiffleball Championship Free

When: Sat., Sept. 20 2008

This new tournament is sanctioned by the World Whiffleball Commission, which Skokie Park District employee Jim Bottorff and some pals started in 1980 in Mishawaka, Indiana, where the World Whiffleball Championship is still played every July. Twenty-four four or five-person teams, using regulation Wiffle bats and perforated balls, will play six-inning games on eight fields, rain or shine.
