Chicago's Lesbian Feminist Chorus free concert

Artemis Singers (, Chicago’s Lesbian Feminist Chorus, will present a free concert at 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Sulzer Public Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. Open to the public, “Artemis Singers: Winter Concert” will include old favorites plus new selections being developed for the upcoming Sister Singers Network 10th National Women’s Choral Festival. This year, the festival of feminist choirs, singers and musicians will be held June 30 – July 4 at Loyola University Chicago, Lakeshore campus, Mundelein Hall. Artemis Singers specializes in performing music written or arranged by women. Inducted into the City of Chicago’s Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 2008, Artemis Singers has been a mainstay in lesbian feminist cultural life. For more information, email or call 773-764-4465.
