Chicago's Marching Orders: A Legacy of Civil Unrest

A selection of short works by the Film Group, which captured Chicago's civil rights struggles in the 1960s and '70s. Included are Urban Crisis and the New Militants (1966), about the Cicero march led by Robert Lucas, president of the Chicago branch of the Congress for Racial Equality, and Tom Palazzolo and Mark Rance's Marquette Park I (1976), which documents rising tension between black protesters and the American Nazi Party.
