Rapper Chidera Anamege (aka Chiddy) and producer Noah Beresin (aka Xaphoon Jones), better known as Philly hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang, have found a foothold in pop culture by making themselves memorable in two ways. First, Beresin cakes the group's boom-bap beats in sugary synths that recall the commercial indie-pop of the late aughts when they aren't outright sampled from it; second, Anamege broke the world record for longest freestyle last spring, spitting for more than nine hours. Chiddy Bang have more to recommend them than gimmicks, though. Their can write pop hooks as sharp as anything on today's Top 40, and they prove it again with "Mind Your Manners," the first single from their forthcoming studio debut, Breakfast. —Leor Galil Anti Crew, Jams Dean, Dave Coresh, Jams, and DJ Stefan Ponce open.
