Christine Knodle & Andy Kim (Violin/Keyboard) at Julius Meinl Coffeehouse

Christine and Andy met at Columbia College where Christine is a recent graduate and Andy will be a 3rd year student. At Columbia, Knodle and Kim studied with Diane Delin and Dennis Luxion. Christine will be teaching violin at Hyde Park Suzuki Institute this fall and Andy currently has a private piano studio. Christine has performed with the University of Chicago Symphony, Rockford Youth Symphony, New Music Ensemble of Columbia College, and an original band called GOODBYEHOME. Andy placed 1st in the Granquist Music Competition, received the Gold Medal in the North Shore Music Teachers Sonata-Sonatina Festival and performed with artists such as Ryan Richko and Gospel Singer Son-Young-Jin. Julius Meinl offers traditional European coffee and tea service, breakfast, lunch, dinner and house-made pastries. Staying true to Viennese coffeehouse culture, both Meinl coffeehouses have live classical or jazz music every weekend evening. Music is free; musicians graciously accept gratuities.
