Christmas Love

To the editors:

Christ's love to you. I recently read your December 17 issue. The article on X-mas caught my attention.

To me Christmas is a celebration of love. Jesus was love incarnate. His whole teaching is one of love.

Jesus gave us two Commandments: (1) to love God with all our hearts, (2) to love each other as he loved us.

God is love, so to love God with all our hearts is to love love with all our hearts, to love each other as he loved us is to share this love with each other.

Of course this can take many forms. Love will manifest itself in as many ways as there are individuals.

And it is up to each of us to find ways to share that love at this special time of the year.

Who is to say whose way is better. It is not for us to judge someone's expression of that love. But to help each other manifest and share that love in whatever way or ways they are capable of, and with whomever they are capable of doing so.

The message of Christmas is one of love. Let's not get it caught up in all this extra baggage.

May you find it in your hearts to share that love that is the spirit of Christmas.

May God richly bless you.
