Cineme International Animation Festival

The second annual Cineme International Animation Festival runs Friday through Sunday, September 24 through 26, at the Illinois Institute of Art, located in the Chicago Merchandise Mart at 350 N. Orleans. Four programs of short animations will be screening Friday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, and another four will be screening Saturday from 10 AM to 4:15 PM. The Japanese sci-fi adventure Dead Leaves (60 min.) screens on Saturday at 4:15, and an episode of the forthcoming Nickelodeon series Avatar (45 min.) screens at 5:15. Tickets to individual screenings are $6, $5 for children under 12, and various festival passes are available. For more information visit the festival Web site at www.cineme.org or call 312-527-4444.
