Climate Cycle Solar Schools Ride Member Picks

Climate Cycle, a non-profit organization dedicated to installing solar systems in Chicago-area public schools, will hold its annual Solar Schools Ride benefit on the north end of Grant Park near DuSable Harbor on Saturday, May 15th. Proceeds from the lakefront bicycle ride will be used to install solar energy systems on Chicago-area schools. Cyclists of all levels are invited to participate. The second-annual biking festival event features live music, exhibits, free “green” products and more. A 10-mile, 20-mile and 62-mile Metric Century ride (from Indiana) will be available for all cyclists as well as a 4-mile family ride. In addition, the event will feature a variety of eco-friendly and family-oriented activities, exhibitors, and live music. All participants who meet the fundraising requirements will receive a complimentary lunch, t-shirt, goody bag and snacks. To learn more and register visit
