Contemporary Greek-American Film Festival

The Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center presents an eight-hour program of films and videos from Greece, most of them less than 30 minutes in length. Among the longer works: Sophia Erini Constantinou's video documentary Divided Loyalties (2001, 57 min.), about exiles and refugees from Cyprus; Vlas Parlapanides's 16-millimeter romantic comedy Everything for a Reason (88 min.), about four young men pursuing young women; Tassos Rigopoulos's video documentary Greeks and Americans (2001, 52 min.), about Greek immigrants in the United States; and George Spyros's video Last Days of May (1999, 93 min.), about a divorced woman's relationship with her mentally ill daughter.
