Cousin, cousine | Chicago Reader

Cousin, cousine

A film of obvious appeal and equally obvious limitations, about a pair of precious, semimoronic lovers who leave their respective unfaithful spouses for a bout of motorcycle riding, romping through fields, and shocking the bourgeoisie. It would probably be unendurable if it were in English, but the language barrier lends a healthy distance. With Victor Lanoux and Marie-Christine Barrault; directed by Jean-Charles Tacchella (1976).
