Cruel and Unusual Sculptor

It was very bemusing and unsettling to read about Rogelio Tijerina's sculptural modus operandi ["Art Imitates Meat," September 29]. He has a free-range farm for cattle, but he is also a slaughterer. If a calf does not "develop the right way," he auctions the animal off to a meatpacker. He casts his finest animals before they're processed and killed. He loves the rituals of deer hunting. In essence, Rogelio Tijerina exploits and plays God with animals, and he is a cruel and unusual sculptor!
