When: June 4-26 2010
FIB will host an exhibit of drawings, mixed media, and fiber arts by artist Jennifer Hines. The exhibit, called Cultivation, is an exploration of how the narrative of our lives can be explored through the symbol of the natural world, which for Hines, is demonstrated through plantlife. Throughout the month, Jennifer’s drawn plant-life will extend outside of the artwork and grow onto the walls of the gallery as Jennifer continues to expand on the exhibition. Also featured will be a site-specific fiber tree installation, embroidery, photography/painting collage, and pencil drawings. Opening reception will be held Friday, June 4 from 7-11pm.
