To the editors:

Did Lewis Lazare actually go see Book of the Night or did he base his comments [Culture Club, July 5] on Richard Christiansen's review? If he wanted to see it, he could have called me since my date stood me up for the show. If he did see it, why is he using Christiansen's comments--to give himself credibility? He could have at least given a more accurate one sentence summary of Christiansen's review.

Doesn't this kind of slop merit at least a paragraph in Hot Type?
