Dark Lullabies

Filmed in Montreal, Israel, and Germany, this feature-length Canadian documentary by Irene Lilienheim Angelico and Abbey Jack Neidik (1985, 82 min.), which won awards at the American and Mannheim film festivals, explores the continuing impact of the Holocaust on Jews and Germans born after World War II. Angelico, a child of Holocaust survivors, was inspired to make this film by a manuscript written by her father after the liberation of Dachau.
