When: Thu., Jan. 7, 6:30 p.m. 2010

The burgeoning Chicago Literary Hall of Fame hosts its first fundraiser, a post-holidays Deck the Hall bash featuring acclaimed local authors Bayo Ojikutu (47th Street Black), Marcus Sakey (The Blade Itself), and Don De Grazia (American Skin) reading selected passages from the works of nominated writers. A silent auction will include dozens of collectible Chicago books, including signed first editions by the featured guest authors as well as other literary heavyweights such as Stuart Dybek, Alex Kotlowitz, Audrey Niffenegger, and Neil Gaiman. The Chicago Literary Hall of Fame is a project of the nonprofit Chicago Writers Association.
