The only character in Courtney Shaughnessy's play is the angst-ridden Delores, who's prone to accidents, dramatic overstatement, and petty venom. As played by an earnest Emily Churchill under the direction of Adam Belcuore, she breathlessly recounts her first kiss, the shame of splitting and shitting her pants in high school, and worse--yet the script is only shallowly entertaining. For a long 90 minutes we hear her describe events over an 18-year period. But her body-image issues and eating disorder go unexamined, and she shows no sign of growing up. The only things that change are the set and the era of the sound track. Through 9/24: Wed-Sat 8 PM. Also 5 PM Sat. Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway, 773-296-0163. $15.
