With its bons mots on marriage, morality, and the modern girl, Noel Coward's zingy 1933 comedy about a love triangle was shocking in its day. Now it's more a fun romp featuring three charming characters, all sleekly or sparklingly dressed by Elizabeth P. Shaffer in this production. P.J. Schoeny at first lacks the confident briskness of his love (Simone Roos) and best friend (Bradford R. Lund). But after a slow second act, the show bristles with energy, and Jim Schneider's staging ends up coming together smartly: the supporting cast makes a more favorable impression, and even the characters' cigarettes seem to have personality. Too bad many opening-night audience members had to crane to see the action. Through 10/23: Fri-Sat 8 PM, Sun 3 PM. Circle Theatre, 7300 W. Madison, Forest Park, 708-771-0700. $21-$23.
