A sequel of sorts to the heavy-breathing high school romance Dirty Dancing (1987), though the only link to the original is a brief cameo by Patrick Swayze as twinkly dance instructor Johnny Castle. On the eve of the Cuban revolution a Ford executive brings his family to Havana, where his studious young daughter (Mika Boorem) becomes enamored of a Cuban busboy who's a hot number on the dance floor (Diego Luna of Y tu mama tambien). The movie's mix of erotic Latin dance and vaguely liberal politics should have young girls swooning in the aisles. Guy Ferland directed; with John Slattery and Sela Ward. PG-13, 86 min.
