Do-Division Street Festival

When: May 30-31, 12 p.m. 2009

The Do-Division Street Festival, which runs from noon till 10 PM this Saturday and Sunday, features a main stage at Division and Damen with music programmed by the Empty Bottle, DJs spinning at Wicker Wash car wash (2123 W. Division), and a sidewalk sale stretching along Division from Ashland to Leavitt that offers a variety of local food and merchandise. Main-stage bookings include touring acts like Menomena, Handsome Furs, and Dark Meat as well as locals like Flosstradamus, the Jai-Alai Savant, and Hollywood Holt. New to Do-Division this year is the Family Fun Fest, open till 6 PM both days, where the entertainment includes cookie decorating, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a "bounce house." Do-Division also overlaps with Around the Coyote’s 2009 Spring Arts Festival, based at the Splat Flats (1815-25 W. Division).
