LA waitress gets new job as marketing assistant, immediately finds self involved in romance, danger, and confusion. Accidentally watchable for about 15 minutes (the crosscut straight-to-camera yammerings of heroine and roommate are unintentionally hilarious: cartoon structuralism anyone?), but thereafter it's Romancing the Stone on downers and worse. Director Albert Pyun (Radioactive Dreams) hasn't got a style to speak of; everything's so shoddily disconnected it's hard to tell what's going on. Not that it matters anyway, since nobody really cares. With Carey Lowell, Charles Rocket, Trudi Dochtermann, and Norbert Weisser.
