In Wanda's Trick (1918, 54 min.), directed by R. Portegg, a woman offers to give herself away in marriage as a lottery prize. In Emmerich Hanus's The Love of Maria Bonde (1918, 43 min.) two lovers work together as stunt riders, but when the woman is injured her sister takes her place in the act, and at the altar.
