Intimate wine bar from the family behind Edwardo's Natural Pizza.
This wine bar from the owners of the Edwardo’s Natural Pizza chain (no word on why they changed the spelling to "Eduardo’s" for this one) is a fairly radical departure from its sister restaurants: rather than stuffed pizza, lasagna, and mozzarella sticks, the menu features cheeses and salumi, crostini, and antipasti. The small, elegant space doesn’t feel like a chain, either. Pizza still figures prominently on the menu, but it’s Neapolitan style; the two we tried both had a crispy, chewy crust and a nice balance of good-quality toppings, particularly one with wild mushrooms, pancetta, and Taleggio cheese. Spinach-artichoke dip is replaced by a creamy, pleasantly fishy bagna cauda, and rather than fettucini alfredo there’s black ink linguini with spicy tomato sauce and shrimp—while the sauce lacked heat, the handmade linguini was perfectly cooked and the shrimp were sweet and tender. We skipped dessert, but if the options are as solidly executed as the rest of the menu it’s probably worth trying.
