ellsworth snyder Concert Series #1 featuring Bomba Deer and Small Houses

When: Sun., March 14, 7 p.m. 2010

The inaugural concert in the ellsworth snyder Concert Series features Chicago based Bomba Deer, a psychedelic chamber pop ensemble comprised of Jamie Kempkers (cello, acoustic guitar), Bria Servoss (vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion), Seth Vanek (drums, gockenspiel) and Anna Cho Walker (pedal steel, cello). They will be joined by Small Houses, playing as part of their Midwest tour, featuring the acoustic, minimalist sound of J. Quentin on vocals and guitar. This show is FREE. As an artist, a musician, a scholar, and a collector ellsworth snyder (1931-2005) was the consummate Fluxus artist, a movement that was concerned with the flow of creative spirit between music, performance and visual art and cut across traditional boundaries of artistic expression. We are excited to dedicate this series in his honor and hope it will provide an interesting forum for deepening our understandings of connections between the musical, visual and performance arts.
