Equal Time for Scientology

Dear sirs,

It was unfortunate to see the religious beliefs of many people attacked because of the untimely death of an individual ["Death of a Scientologist," August 16]. Suicides are tragic. Unfortunately, they affect people from all walks of life.

I knew Greg Bashaw and liked him. I also know this article would have been very offensive to him.

When I see an article with all negatives and no positives, I suspect there is another agenda behind the article. People's lives are being saved or improved worldwide through the activities of the Church of Scientology.

To be fair, your newspaper should provide equal space for the positive side of this story.
