Family Resource Center Spring Gala Benefit

Family Resource Center (FRC), a Chicago-based child welfare agency, will celebrate 21 years of successful adoptions, including 15 years of adoption from China, at its 18th annual Spring Gala benefit. The event will be emceed by WTTW's Chicago tour program host Geoffrey Baer. Tickets, $125, include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a silent and live auction, a traditional Chinese red handkerchief dance, a grand prize raffle, dancing and dinner. Founded in 1989, FRC is a private not-for-profit organization whose mission is to find permanent families for infants, regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic background or special needs. FRC has assisted in helping more than 2,500 families, by facilitating domestic and international adoptions from more than 12 countries, offering a wide range of free services to women facing unexpected pregnancies, providing lifelong post-adoption services, conducting adoption education and outreach in high schools, hospitals, and communities, and advocating with public policy makers.
