In a design contest hosted by the History Museum five local designers created a couture garment inspired by a piece in the exhibit Chic Chicago: Couture Treasures From the Chicago History Museum. Tonight, in a finale hosted by curator Timothy Long, one of the three finalists—Melissa Serpico Kamhout, Jermikko Shoshanna, and William Thomas Walton and Roger Price—will be named the winner, joining the exhibition and becoming part of the museum’s permanent costume collection. Cocktail reception to follow.
