When: Thu., April 4 2013
After a successful soft launch in December, Fete Chicago, the four-day food and design festival (4/4-4/7) founded by a handful of former Dose Market curators, arrives in full form beginning this evening with the Fete Night Market. Attendees can browse the wares of more than 40 midwest craft vendors (Uncanned Music, Be Blocks, etc) while enjoying pop-up versions of local restaurants, including Ruxbin and Panozzo’s Italian Market. Drinks are covered in the price of admission: a $5 ticket secures you a complimentary glass of Virtue Cider or 5 Rabbit beer, while $15 includes a pair of cocktails from Longman & Eagle bartender Derek Alexander. Other festival events include a discussion with Matthias Merges (Yusho) and John Manion (La Sirena Clandestina), as well as "Tales From the Table," presented by the storytelling series 2nd Story (both on Fri 4/5).
