In the Russian-occupied Poland of 1905, a bomb passes, La ronde-like, through a circle of anarchists from all levels of society, bringing destruction to everyone who possesses it. Agnieszka Holland's Polish feature of 1980 won the top prize at the 1981 Gdansk festival and was promptly banned with the imposition of martial law.
