A selection of nature films made between the 1930s and the 1970s by the celebrated French filmmaker (1902-'89), who was known for his anthropomorphism, admired by avant-garde artists, and worked with such composers as Darius Milhaud and Pierre Henry. Titles include The Sea Horse (1934), How Jellyfishes Are Born (1960), The Sea Urchins (1954), Acera or the Witches (1972), Lovelife of the Octopus (1965), and Liquid Crystals (1976). The program lasts 71 minutes.
