To the editors:

Your August 28 issue had an interesting article on cremation. Your readers would be interested in comparing the $560 price paid for the cremation through CSI with the $300 that most members of Chicago Memorial Association pay for their cremations. Chicago Memorial Association is a not-for-profit consumer group with over 10,000 members in the Chicago area that has been helping reduce funeral costs for more than 28 years. CMA has no annual dues and a minimum membership fee ($15 for a senior citizen, $25 for a family).
