Four Women

Apprised of a friend's impending wedding, a young Swedish woman returns to her hometown, camcorder in hand; reunited with her three closest girlfriends, she captures their confessional conversations, bed-hopping antics, and drunken high jinks on videotape. While writer-director Baker Karim's jerky, hesitant camera persuasively replicates bad home video, his script—with its boring, self-absorbed characters—more closely resembles an American-style reality TV show. With Bjorn Skagestad and Malin Bjorklund (2001). In Swedish with subtitles. 90 min.
