Shelved for more than three years, this schizoid college comedy veers between gross-out humor and earnest coming-of-age drama. A horny freshman (Sam Huntington) pretends to be gay so he can score with a comely coed (Kaitlin Doubleday) who's been instructed to pick up and then dump a “fag” as part of her sorority pledge. The couple predictably hit it off, though the ensuing complications are freshly realized and John Goodman has a nice turn as a queen with a heart of gold. Ryan Shiraki directed his own script; also known as Home of Phobia. R, 92 min.
