This expansive, clubby room across the street from the Shubert is split between upscale restaurant and more casual wine bar. The menu features standard American fare: oysters Rockefeller, Caesar salad, shrimp de jonghe, market-price grilled lobster, and double-cut lamb chops. But steak is the real focus, and its prime midwestern beef. The menu offers everything from a small fillet and a 12-ounce New York sirloin to a 20-ounce New York strip and 24-ounce porterhouse. About 50 wines are available by the glass or in tasting flights.
