To the editors:

Recently I picked up a copy of the Reader and was surprised to find your story on Americans United for Life [August 2].

I have always believed in the integrity of the Reader but this confirmed my doubts. No matter where each of us stands on the issue, we must all be open to information about abortion.

I am a member of a prowoman prolife group and appreciate the "guts" you showed in printing the AUL story.

Many of us who heralded the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision have realized that abortion is not the answer. Changing society so that it supports women who become mothers is!

Thanks for not being a part of the "gag" on the prolife side of this issue.
