The 80s and 90s may be long gone, but contemporary culture's thirst for nostalgia is as strong as ever. Enter Hair Lit, Vol. 1, a collection of short fiction dedicated to and inspired by the likes of Poison, Twisted Sister, and Warrant, edited by Nick Ostdick and released by Chicago-based Orange Alert Press. Contributors Matt Rowan (Untoward Magazine), Lindsay Hunter (Don't Kiss Me), and Mike Joyce (Literary Orphans) present their pieces at this live reading—don't forget your lighter, just in case someone tosses in a ballad or two.
