Dear Reader:

As a writer and "ideologue" at Chicago Ink newspaper, I enjoyed Michael Miner's Hot Type of February 28, wherein Steve Rhodes, a Newsweek "stringer," was quoted refusing to participate at Chicago Ink because it was a "leftist publication trapped in an ideological prism." Rhodes's coup de grace was "I'm a journalist, not an ideologue."

Rhodes has the heady moral high ground at Newsweek, and we at Ink owe him an apology for having almost tainted a meteoric career.

So good luck Steve "stringing" at Newsweek, and should there be an opening at the Rush Limbaugh Newsletter--here's hoping you're first in line. Rhodes has learned the first rule of paid, objective reporting: trash the Left. All he has to do now is get a job.
