The one thing Isla dislikes about her friends is their tendency to morph into the monsters with two heads and one set of speech patterns otherwise known as married couples. In this musical comedy, her ambition to remain a fun bachelorette forever is explained (faintly) by her father's demise from "toxic boner syndrome"; that she comes off as demure despite her loose lifestyle is impressive for a nymphomaniac in drag. In fact, this satirical take on wedding-induced craziness is greatly aided throughout by a cross-dressing cast, as when an ill-fitting wedding dress produces a hilariously hairy nip-slip situation. The show wears its whimsical plot lightly, and the sweetly sung songs offer relationship advice in bad faith but with a disarming wink. —Jena Cutie
