Hit & Run: A Rabbit Rabbit Road Show Recommended Member Picks The Short List (Theater)

When: Tuesdays. Continues through Sept. 20 2011

During a road-trip sketch, Andrew Bentley comments on what a great bonding experience he's having. Bondee Chris Blake replies, "Dude, I drew a dick on your window." This two-man show quickly develops into a celebration of Bentley and Blake's mutual resentment: Each man separately pleads with audience members for a ride home to escape the other. Blake shows strong presence and timing as a five-year-old asking his mother why "satisfactory" isn't a good grade in school if daddy satisfies her in bed. And Bentley performs an impressively deadpan film-noir bit chock-full of odd similes such as, "Life is like old people fucking. It's not always pretty but it goes on." --Marissa Oberlander
