Holding Trevor

A gay slacker in LA (Brent Gorski, who also wrote the screenplay) finds himself in a hospital emergency room when his boyfriend suffers a heroin overdose, and after meeting an attractive intern, he begins to reexamine his destructive relationship. Gorski's script is full of catty gay banter, especially hilarious when delivered by Jay Brannan (Shortbus) as the hero's promiscuous best friend. Director Rosser Goodman captures low-rent Los Angeles in all its palm-and-stucco splendor. 82 min.
