Honey and the Pig

Making a sex comedy with a pedophile at its core sounds dicey, and Olga Malea's frothy 2005 mix of light titillation and serious drama doesn't quite work. A young man from Athens returns home and starts an affair with a pretty funeral home employee; when he catches a glimpse of an old man with a young boy he's forced to confront ghosts from his past. The humor is perky, even goofy—sex in a funeral parlor, a pig that springs out of a coffin at a funeral—but the revelations about cycles of abuse ring true. In Greek with subtitles. 90 min.
