How Color Movies Think

A selection of rare color silent films from George Eastman House. Following the screening, Paolo Cherchi Usai, silent film historian and senior film curator at Eastman House, will deliver a lecture (at 4 pm, Univ. of Chicago Cobb Hall, 5811 S. Ellis) on how color affects aesthetic interpretations of moving images and how the notion of “natural” color emerged in silent cinema.
