Humoresque | Chicago Reader

High schlock from Warner Brothers (1946), with tough kid Robert Blake growing up to become John Garfield, a concert violinist who can't escape the patronage of wealthy society dame Joan Crawford. Director Jean Negulesco displays a certain visual flair, although the film is overlong and plainly derivative. 125 min.
