Indian Summer

Two cousins forced to spend the summer together influence each other's ideas about femininity as they compete for the attention of boys in Indian Summer (1998), an expressive drama whose blatant structural symmetry is handled with a gentle humor that adds to the emotional power. Director Sasa Gedeon wrote the screenplay, inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's “Bernice Bobs Her Hair.”
