The International Beethoven Project kicks off a five-day extravaganza devoted to Ludwig van. The fest mixes disciplines—there will be film screenings, radio broadcasts, and an art party, plus nonstop performances—as well as performers and composers (Mozart, Brahms, Schubert—they're all welcome here). Today's lineup includes three concerts culminating in a late-night (11 PM) Mozart sonata performance. For the full schedule see internationalbeethovenproject.com. —Sam Worley
