Iraqtile Dysfunction

Brainy, well executed, and cleverly conceived, Iraqtile Dysfunction is topical with a vengeance, spoofing everything from trash-talking steroid jocks to Condoleezza Rice to Katrina victims--an evacuee named Snake Lady (the wonderfully rubber-faced Claudia Michelle Wallace) magically transforms a dysfunctional clan in Wilmette. Director Ron West and his sextet have spared no absurdity in this unashamedly political revue. It's generously long at two hours but tighter than any previous Second City show, with plenty of brilliant improv--an achingly funny evening. Open run: Tue-Thu 8 PM, Fri-Sat 8 and 11 PM, Sun 7 PM, Sat 12/31, 7 and 10 PM, Second City, 1616 N. Wells, 312-337-3992, $18-$24, $50 Sat 12/31 (includes $10 certificate and copy of The Second City: Backstage at the World's Greatest Comedy Theater, also champagne for 10 PM show).
